St. Patty’s Day is coming. A time where little leprechauns all dressed in green scurry around causing mischief and protecting their pots of gold.
In our house, leprechauns are much like our Christmas elves. They leave green footprints around the house, they color things green, all the while reeking havoc around our house. My kids created leprechaun traps in 1st grade to try and catch the pesky buggers. No luck.
This year I plan to send my kids to school with a little leprechaun prank. Leprechaun poop to be exact.
Here’s what you need:
- green marshmallows
- small plastic bag
- “Leprechaun Poop” printable
Can’t find green marshmallows? You can make your own! (Seriously easier than you think…) Here’s how you do it:
Fill a cup with enough water to cover the marshmallows. Put 1 drop of green food coloring for every tablespoon of water. Put the marshmallow in the water. Remember they float, so use a spoon or toothpick to hold them under the water. Keep the marshmallows in the water for approximately 5 seconds. Remove the marshmallows with a spoon and pat dry with a clean paper towel to remove excess moisture. Place on a clean, non-stick cookie sheet to dry before using.
You ready to prank your little ones? Get to it!
In case you missed the printable, here it is again!
I hope your kiddies love their little “prank” and that you have a Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
