Recently, someone told me that I am the mother of tweens. What say you? No way, my kids are 8 and almost 10! And then it dawned on me…I am the mother of tweens.
Tweens are those ages that are no longer little kids, and not quite teenagers yet. It’s almost as if this term was invented to describe my kids! You know what I mean…only want to wear what they want, only want to hear what they want, only want WHATEVER they want. The kicker? They THINK they’re cool! UGH!
Enter the holidays, and I’m at a total loss…what are some great gifts for those pesky tweens?
My kids are pretty explicit with their wants. The only problem is, what they want is sometimes not appropriate for their age. If you’re stuck looking for gifts for tweens, here are some ideas that are still “cool” enough to make you look good!

Clothing:
Sports Fan Clothing
This is an absolute no brainer! What team does your tween like? Get them anything and everything with that team on it…they can honestly never have too much!
59Fifty Hats
Don’t know what they are? Look it up. They are baseball hats that have a flat brim. Don’t know why they love them so much, but they do. This goes along with sports fan clothing…get them their favorite teams.
Sports Equipment:
Do I really need to explain this? Get them a football, a basketball, cleats, a lacrosse stick, a new bat….this list could go on and on and on. Tweens (and really the male species in general) can never have too many items to play sports with.
Do you have a tween in your life? What do you plan on giving them this holiday season?
*Disclaimer: Although I was paid for posting about some of these items, all opinions of gifts come from my very pesky tweens!*
