In our house, one of our most favorite times of year is Halloween! We love dressing up, decorating the house and doing all things spooky. (This is a very weird thing considering I’m a scaredy cat!)
Not only do we like to have fun with scary stuff around the house, but we love scaring up some fun in the kitchen as well. Little Ricky has friends that hold a pumpkin carving party each year with a spooky dessert contest. Last year I was a judge for all the yummy deliciousness, but this year we want to compete!
When thinking of Halloween we think of ghosts. When thinking of dessert we think of cupcakes! Why not make these fun and easy Ghost Cupcakes for the contest?
It’s not a scary recipe…these Ghost Cupcakes are so easy to make! We’re using boxed cake mix people. (I’m always looking out for my fellow exhausted families!)
Here’s what you need to do:
Prepare the cupcakes according to the box directions and allow them to cool. (You with me so far?)
Next, you will cream together the butter and vanilla with a mixer until it’s fluffy. Gradually add in the powdered sugar until it’s well incorporated. Gently fold in the marshmallow creme. (try not to eat it all first…)
Transfer to the frosting into a piping bag with a round tip.
Frost each cupcake in a swirly fashion. Make eyes using mini chocolate chips and mouths with larger chocolate chips. If you want to go a little fancier (and make yourself crazy) you can use cake decorations that you can get at a craft store.
Refrigerate the cupcakes until you’re ready to serve them.
Could it get any easier???

I hope everyone like them!
