My husband and kids are huge football fans and each week during football season, as they sit around watching any and every game out there, we have a tradition with our food. We love eating what we call “a buffet.” It’s simply all of our favorite appetizers and dips spread out on our coffee table while watching football.
This weekend is the BIG GAME! All my boys will plant themselves in front of the TV to watch football…and I will watch the anticipated commercials! Now on to plan the “buffet” for game day…
One of our favorite appetizers are the TGI Friday’s Loaded Cheddar & Bacon Potato Skins. Seriously, who doesn’t love them? We actually fight over them! That’s why when #CollectiveBias asked me to write about our favorite TGI Friday’s apps, I headed to my local Walmart to pick up the ingredients for our snacks because the prices really can’t be beat (and so I can actually buy more!).
The TGI Friday’s apps are so easy to make. I can actually put different varieties in the oven at the same time since many of them have the same cooking requirements. Saves so much time getting the treats in the mouths of my hungry “men!”
Oh yeah, and check out how I made them “game ready!” I put some sour cream in a baggie & clipped the corner to squeeze out the lines of a football. BEEP, BEEP! (I’m beeping my own horn!)
And this week there will be a great #TGIFGameDay demo at local Walmart stores just in time for the Big Game! Stop by your area Walmart store between 1/30-2/2/14 and you too can learn more about TGI Friday’s Appetizers and try some for yourself. Who knows, maybe you’ll have your own “buffet” for game time!
