Growing up in Tennessee (have I ever told you that?), cobblers and crisps were staples at the end of meals. We had everything from fresh blackberries that we would pick from the bushes outside or with peaches that came fresh from Georgia.
Ah…the sweet, sweet smell & taste of the fruity, sugary goodness of a crisp! Well, living in Miami, I’m hard pressed to find an authentic fresh fruit crisp (and true southern cooking for that matter). So, I’ve had to make my own. Here is my recipe for an Easy Blueberry Crisp. I’m convinced your family will love it!
You know what’s even better? You can substitute in your family’s favorite fruit or whatever is in season! YUM!
