Disclaimer: I was provided a gift card from The Children’s Place to shop for Spring fashions for my boys. All opinions and thoughts are my own.
If you know me at all, I am a HUGE procrastinator! I swear with each passing year, it just keeps getting worse. I’m good at getting an idea in my head and planning, but when it gets down to actually doing what I’m supposed to do, I put it off until I can’t any longer. I really thrive under the pressure.
That’s why I am famous for leaving shopping for holiday clothes until the last minute. It’s bad. There have been many a holiday when my kids have nothing to wear. And I don’t mean just no new outfit, I mean no clothes that fit…or are appropriate for the holiday.
Although I’m still a little last minute (only 3 days until Easter), I was able to find last minute Easter fashions at The Children’s Place.
Luckily for us, we live in beautiful Miami and it is hot, hot, hot! I don’t make my kids get all dressed up with a tie and jacket for Easter. The weather is just too uncomfortable for that in my opinion. I tend to dress them in shorts, some type of polo shirt or button down, and loafers. But for those who lean toward the dressier look, there are plenty of choices at The Children’s Place.
From chinos to neck ties to fedoras, The Children’s Place has it all! Even down to the loafers. Since more dressier looks are not something that kids wear all the time, I don’t like to spend an outrageous amount of money on these looks. Thank goodness the prices are perfect for my wallet and I don’t break the bank.
This year, I chose to go with color blocking for my handsome dudes. I always want to put my husband in a pink shirt, but he won’t be caught dead in one. So my next best dress up victim, the kids. “Little Ricky” is confident enough to go with the pink polo, so I chose to pair it with a sort of indigo/navy colored pair of shorts. “The Nag” is macho like my husband, so yellow was my choice for him. To add a pop of color, I paired his shirt with kelly green shorts. (My husband said he looks like he’s going golfing…jerk.)
Easter outfits, done!
On to more shopping! I only have a limited amount of years left where I can dress the boys the way I want…I’m taking advantage of it NOW! Check out these trendy styles. I’m LOVING the red pants!
And of course I had to pick out some summer essentials! Swimsuits, matching rash guards, flip flops and sunglasses are perfect for summer vacations & pool time, and just about any day in Miami (sorry if you’re jealous!). I love that everything coordinates! Not to mention there are choices in altering colors and patterns so I can get the boys items that go together, but not exactly the same. Saving so many fights and “why didn’t I get that” in my house!
