“If it tastes good to you, then it’s a good wine.” ~ Dave Matthews
Ok, so not only do I love his music, but now I love his wine too! Dave Matthews, recording artist by day, also makes wine. Of course, being a lover of all things Dave, I had to try it…. His line of Dreaming Tree wines are to die for!
The Dreaming Tree Cabernet Sauvignon has hints of blackberry, cherry, and other herbs. It doesn’t hurt like some deep reds. It goes down easy (maybe too easy).
All Dreaming Tree wines are harvested and bottled in Northern California’s Wine Country. The Cabernet is aged for 18 months in oak and then carefully blended.
Since taking care of the environment is important to Dave Matthews and his partner, Steve Reeder, very little pesticides are used on the grapes harvested for the win. The bottle is made with less glass, making it lighter to carry, therefore using less gas to transport them. The labels are made from 100% recycled paper.
This wine is best paired with friends, but a girl’s gotta eat! It’s delicious with grilled lamb or a hearty bean.
Now off to beg my husband to take me to Dave’s vineyard! Maybe he’ll be there and play his guitar for me… Hey, a girl can dream can’t she?!
