Now that school is back in session, and our homework and sports schedules take up a lot of our time, I like to cook meals that are easy to prepare. On my more busy days, my Crock Pot is my new best friend. I feel so much more relaxed knowing that he is doing all the work for me and I still look like a superstar!
These Crock Pot Pork Chops are perfect for any night of the week and are sure to please! They are best paired with comforting favorites like Campfire Potatoes, rice, or just a simple veggie.
Ingredients
- 2 lb Pork Chops
- 1/4 cup Olive Oil
- 1 cup Chicken Broth
- 2 tsp Minced Garlic
- 1 tbsp Paprika
- 1 tbsp Onion Powder
- 1 tbsp Poultry Seasoning
- 1 tsp Oregano
- 1 tsp Basil
- Salt and Pepper (to taste)
Preparations
- Brown the pork chops in a skillet with 1 tablespoon of olive oil. (optional)
- Place pork chops in slow cooker.
- Whisk together remaining ingredients and pour over pork.
- Cover and cook on high for 4 hours or low for 7 hours.
- For a thicker sauce, make a slurry of 1 tablespoon of cornstarch and 1/4 cup water and whisk until smooth.
- Add cornstarch mixture to some of the liquid from slow cooker and whisking until thickened and boiling.
