**Disclosure: Thank you for Viva Vantage and Walmart for sponsoring this post and helping me clean up my messes!**
I don’t know about you, but I DO NOT enjoy taking time out of an entire day to clean my house. There are so many other things that I would rather be doing. And although I would love to have a maid, I’ve had a bad experience with one, so I don’t see us hiring another one anytime soon. So it’s up to me.
Although I don’t find myself to be competitive, I do like to compete with myself. I also like to be better than my former self in anything I do. That’s why I have a new game that I like to play. It’s called “Beat the Clock.” My favorite time to play it is when I have to clean the house.
The game is something that I do with my kids when they have a complete and total disaster in their bedroom or playroom (which, to be honest, is ALL the time!). I make sure to give them enough time to actually complete the task so they don’t entirely fail and tell them they have to clean before the timer runs out or I throw away the toys still left out. I’ll let you in on a little secret, I don’t really throw away the toys…I just go in and help them when the timer goes off. C’mon, I’m not THAT mean!
Here’s how to play Beat the Clock:
- Set the timer on my phone for a certain amount of time (ex. 20 mins, 1 hour, etc.). However much time I have or want to give. I usually do this before I have to take a shower to go somewhere.
I like to tackle the bathrooms every time. The germs are really gross in there. Check out the serious messes that come with having all males in the house…YUCK!
A quick clean is better than no clean at all!
My new go to product? Viva Vantage Paper Towels. Why? They have a revolutionary V-Flex* Weave, which provides stretch that helps deliver great scrubbing power. The sponge-like absorbency helps you soak up the yucky messes that happen in everyday life (especially with boys!).
I go through A LOT of paper towels when I clean. To me, it’s the only way to not spread germs. With Viva Vantage Paper Towel’s stretch material, helps me to use less because it picks up more. SCORE!
