Living in Miami, we are lucky for so many reasons. The sun, the sand, the beaches just to name a few. One of my favorite things about living this far south is our easy access to other beautiful places like the Keys, the Caribbean, and Mexico.
Being so close to the Bahamas is the best! You get a piece of paradise with a quick trip.
We recently visited Nassau/Paradise Island and went to Atlantis Paradise Island Resort for the day. Atlantis is really a gem in Nassau!
Atlantis has 6 different room-types based on preference and budget from the more value oriented vacations to exclusive ultra-luxurious experiences. No matter the room you choose, you get complimentary access to Aquaventure, beaches, pools, aquariums and restaurants throughout your stay. And don’t forget about the casino. There is literally something for everyone.
The Atlantis Casino is nestled between the two main towers. There are beautiful glass sculptures by artist Dale Chihuly scattered around the casino. There are over 75 gaming tables featuring baccarat, Caribbean stud poker, Let It Ride, craps, roulette and blackjack and 750 of the latest slot machines. Don’t know how to play? There are complimentary daily gaming lessons available every day.
Aquaventure, is a massive 141-acre water area full of water slides, a lazy river, 20 swimming areas, a spectacular kids water-play fort and 11 unique and refreshing swimming pools. Aquaventure also combines the various ways for guests to connect with sea life through snorkeling, scuba diving, or animal adventures. Atlantis is also home to the largest open air aquarium in the world.
Atlantis has 22 bars and lounges on property. That’s a lot of lounging at bars! Being in the Bahamas, you have to have a Piña Colada….it’s a MUST!
You can’t visit Atlantis without a picture in the Big Chair. It’s obligatory.
My son has been asking to go here! I love your photos! Hopefully we can take him soon!
We went as an excursion on a cruise. Haven’t gone to stay yet. Hoping to make it there soon!
I have always wanted to go to Nassau and stay at the Atlantis. It sounds like you all had a wonderful time… your pics are great! Thank you for sharing your experience!
You should put Atlantis on your vacation bucket list!
Ironically my husband has been talking about Atlantis so much lately! I think this will have to be our next well first trip out as a family.
