Chevy provided me with the 2014 Impala and a full tank of gas to facilitate this review. No additional compensation was received for this post and all opinions are my own.
So, I’m a mini-van driver. Yes, I admit it, I have a mini-van. When we had kids, my husband insisted that this would be the next step. I have to admit, although I CAN’T STAND the look (& the fact that it’s a mini-van), I love the room….so it’s been hard to let it go. The 2014 Chevy Impala is a sedan with great space & fun extras!
I only have two kids, so the Impala’s seating for five is perfect for our family. The kids loved that there was a pull down cup holder in the backseat to hold their drinks or iPods. I like that it was a small barrier between the two ever-fighting kids. The backseat had ample leg room for my 6-foot husband.
The trunk was ENORMOUS for a sedan! We took the 2014 Chevy Impala on our mini stay-cation to Key Biscayne. With 18.8 cubic feet of cargo space, we were able to fit 2 boogie boards, 2 large duffle bags, a blow up mattress, a beach bag, and groceries all in one trip! I have never seen such a large trunk in a sedan…I was impressed!
As a mom and wife, safety is high on my priority list. Did you know the 2014 Chevy Impala has 10 standard airbags? Not to mention there’s also the safety and support of OnStar, standard for six months, with Automatic Crash Response. Talk about feeling safe!
The 8 inch color touch screen display is easily customizable to showcase the information or options you want most. There is also a hidden compartment behind the screen with a USB port and storage. Not only does the 2014 Chevy Impala have turn by turn navigation with OnStar, Bluetooth technology, but it boosts a kick butt Bose surround sound system!
This car is just sleek. I can’t think of a better word to describe it. It handled the crazy Miami traffic and the longer open spaces with ease. I felt like people were stopping and staring at this great car.
I tested the 2014 Chevy Impala in Red Rock Metallic with a gray premium cloth interior with an MSRP of $30,760. For the price, it has just enough bells to make it an appealing choice for individuals or families of four who are looking for a sedan with more than a typical sedan.
